I’ve always had a passion for interior design so when the opportunity came to be apart of the build-out for our new design center, I jumped on board! I assisted our Design Center Manager in the construction of our new showroom as well as revamping our product catalog, focusing on the needs of our homebuyers. As a Senior Design Consultant, my primary responsibility is to examine the needs of our buyers and suggest products that would work best in their home. Keeping budget in mind, I help our buyers prioritize and design the interior & exterior of their new home by selecting cabinets, flooring, carpet and finish details. Critical thinking and problem solving has also been a skill I have developed over the last few years that easily applies to my role as a Senior Design Consultant. During my time in the sales and marketing department, I was able to develop customer service skills. I answered phones daily for our warranty and sales department and assisted buyers with warranty or sales questions and concerns. I was able to apply the knowledge of our back-office process and have been successful in navigating difficult conversations and providing detailed explanations to our buyers. Following a difficult conversation, I can offer a solution that would work best for the buyer and the company.

In addition to my role as a Senior Design Consultant, I have also taken on the responsibility of decorating our new model homes. To date, I have designed and installed 50 model homes since beginning my role in 2020. As a model home designer, I complete the appeal of a model home by selecting furniture, art and accessories. This entails creating a presentation of a proposed interior design and creating a budget to furnish an entire model home. Following presentation and sign off, I begin ordering the products for the home and shipping them to the holding facility. At the holding facility, they will store until the model home is ready for install. During install week, all of the furniture, artwork and accessories are delivered to the home. I will spend 5 days placing furniture, hanging artwork & curtains and shopping for accessories, as needed. On the final install day, management will conduct a final walk through of the home and sign off.This opportunity stemmed from a need within our company to become more cost effective and intentional. Bringing the model home designs internally has allowed the company more flexibility to open up new model home locations and prepare for the future. For a repurposed design, the company saves ~$50,000 (designs averaging $15,000) and for a new design, the company saves ~$25,000 (designs averaging $50,000). To date, I have saved the company $1,000,000 in model home staging expenses.

Previously held a Social Media and Marketing position at Arbor Homes and Silverthorne Homes. Since I started in 2013, I grew the Arbor Homes Facebook page by 1,030% and we have surpassed national builders in impressions and likes. The Silverthorne Homes website traffic doubled because of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Pinterest. Both companies are projected to exceed sales and marketing goals in 2018.In addition to social media, I worked with all creative materials for both Arbor and Silverthorne. In 2017, I redesigned all Arbor & Silverthorne marketing materials so the brochures are modern and up-to-date with current design trends. I also assisted in the redesigned of both the Arbor and Silverthorne websites.

Interned for local Bloomington radio station while taking classes at IU. I worked in sales, marketing and promotions. Managed promotional radio events around Bloomington. I was requested by local Bloomington businesses, Plato's Closet & Big Red Liquors, to recorded & edit their commercial spots.

Developed a marketing strategy increasing awareness about ZBowl to Zionsville and surrounding communities. Contacted Nashville bands and organized interviews for the local Zionsville radio station. Created and managed ZBowl Facebook and Twitter accounts, where Facebook has grown to over 350 fans.
