Motivated. Adventurer. Marathon Runner. Family with a motto- leave rental cars and people better than you found them. During the mom years I supported children in their dreams and goals and found numerous opportunities to volunteer. Then I took up post graduate studies in Applied Positive Psychology and the ability to change our brains. When I tested as a pessimist I took two years applying interventions to see if I could change. Learning about abundance mindset, cognitive flexibility and neuro pathways became all I wanted to talk about and discover more deeply. Certified in Gottman Marriage Therapy Level 1, John Van Epp RAM Attachment theory, Science of Happiness certificate from UC Berkeley and Applied Positive Psychology Postgrad certificate from University of Utah still did not feed my knowledge base so I began pursuing research at University of East London. I love the science and art of relationships with ourselves and others.I have had the opportunity to speak at several women organizations, clubs of study and SALT Retreat about living life in a strength based approach, resilience, and increasing marriage satisfaction. My real love is young adults ranging in ages 18-30 where we can discuss social media, dating relationships and how to embrace yourself. I am looking to expand into newly married discussions.Although I have tested as a pessimist I have learned how to see life more fully and that I can effect the outcome of my relationships for the better through science based interventions. I am also always ready to hear the best Taco spot and any macaron baking tips!
