Stephanie Letourneau, M.Ed.Methuen School Department and Merrimack CollegeStephanie Letourneau, M.Ed is a public school teacher with 20+ years experience. She earned a masters degree in Reading K-12 from Endicott College and continued her education in Mindfulness through Mindful Schools. In addition to teaching elementary school, she also is an adjunct professor for Merrimack College. There she can share her love of mindfulness with future teachers and guidance counselors.It was through her then 7 year old daughter’s therapist when Stephanie first heard of Mindfulness. Her research started as a way to support her children. Seeing how it really enhanced her family life, she passionately studied how she could use this in the classroom.Since, she has done over 50 demo lessons in Methuen Public Schools in grades k-6 and has reached over 500 students. She has held workshops and professional development seminars for teachers, parents, and the public. She enjoys going on multi-day retreats as well as practicing with a group of other Mindfulness Instructors from all over the world.One of Stephanie’s favorite things to do is to find and spread joy through her mindfulness practices. She is an active member of her community and serves on several service programs, including Merrimack Valley Partners in Service and Debbie’s Treasure Chest.In addition to being certified through Mindful Schools, her Massachusetts certifications include Reading k-12, Elementary 1-6, and Health and Family Consumer Science k-12.
