As President and Director of Education of the Essations family brand, I not only handle the day-to-day operations, but I am also responsible for educating a team of stylists and professionals who work on behalf of the brand. In addition to these responsibilities, I am also Manager of Research and Development, where I work closely with our production team to ensure our products have the right formula and ingredients to produce the proper results. With more than 27 years of experience in the industry, I use my expertise to propel the brand and stylists to the next level. My experience with making products, including the chemical compounds and structure, plus my extensive knowledge of hair, come together to make me an expert in the industry. I can analyze and understand both the product make up and the hair's potential reaction to it all at the same time.

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to own a salon. Although I never wanted to be a stylist, my career at Essations led me down that path and I couldn't be more grateful. I find so much inspiration and touch the lives of so many through hair care and education. As the Owner at Sophia Brandon Boutique Salon, in addition to servicing my clients, I am responsible for the day-to-operations, building maintenance, product inventory, client retention, payroll, marketing, and staff development. You name it, I'm responsible for it.Operating in our sixth successful year, Sophia Brandon provides a luxurious and professional environment for clients to be serviced, while educating them on properly maintaining their hair between visits. The team of highly qualified stylists at the boutique salon attracts clients across the Midwest, but the warm atmosphere, thought provoking conversations, and sense of family and belonging keep them coming back – even when they are not being serviced.
