The Special Education Coordinator at Center City PCS supports two to three out of the six campuses as an LEA Representative for all Special Education meetings. The Special Education Coordinator is also Case Manager, ensuring OSSE and district compliance, for over 60 students with disabilities and additional students through the Eligibility Process. Assists in RTI Intervention plans and implementation and Special Education staff coaching. Supports the Director of Student Support Services and the Special Education Manager in district-wide Special Education initiatives, policies, and compliance.

This program seeks to put energetic, dynamic, and effective teachers in high-needs DCPS classrooms in order to close the achievement gap and ensure that DC youth achieve successful lives. After training all summer, I will be teaching Elementary Special Education in the fall.
