As a seasoned communications professional, my strengths lie in balancing my passion for engaging with people with my aptitude for leveraging process to achieve great results. I also enjoy writing and embrace the challenge of writing a compelling story for both internal and external audiences, including ghost-writing for executives, press releases, company Intranet feature stories and Annual Reports (plus everything in between). I am a proven team player with a keen interest in all things related to communications, specifically communications planning, strategy and content development. I also have extensive experience in employee engagement, project management, stakeholder relations, team event planning and change management. My communications career encompasses a well-rounded blend of experience derived from working in a non-profit municipal organization, a small company and a large corporation. Working for a small company gave me the opportunity to learn a versatile blend of skills in a short period, while applying the knowledge I learned while leading the successful implementation of projects in a corporate environment. Most recently, working for a non-profit in the public sector has opened the door for me to recommend and implement processes, efficiencies and communications strategies new to the library environment, while providing me with many exciting learning opportunities. I am proud to leverage my communications skills in my every-day work while bringing creativity and ingenuity to my work.
