Held both release management and release engineering positions in one of the largest and top online travel companies in the world:Release Manager for Expedia's Data Warehousing (EDW) group - created/implemented a Release Model/Strategy for EDW along with a complete re-structure of the pre-existing configuration management (i.e. SCMS, branching/merging strategies). Managed/coordinated release efforts throughout EDW which involved among other things, cross-team coordination, impediment resolution, scheduling, process documentation, and thorough and effective communication on a daily basis. Release Engineer for the Product Development organization, which entailed daily operational tasks (builds, deployments, SCMS administration, bug triaging, more). Acting project manager for release engineering and helped implement several in-house solutions that benefited both release engineering and often multiple departments; worked with several other organizations (DBA, DB Dev, Dev, Test, Ops, more) to coordinate project efforts and also to resolve impediments specific to release efforts, whether those release efforts were to test/cert environments or to production.

Developer involved with several aspects of Washington Publishing Company (WPC), which "is a leading provider of technical and business services, publications and products primarily to health care and insurance organizations," focused on EDI-based solutions with respect to said services. Functions of my job included (and were not limited to):Software/Web development (SQL 2K, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET and classic ASP-based solutions), Software Tester (white/black-box), Release Engineer/Manager (builds, deployments, software packaging).
