Responsible for EMT Instructor oversight, and management of program core cognitive and psycho-motor curriculum. In serving a dual role as both Chief Academic Officer and Lead EMT Instructor, I have built and significantly elevated program quality and student experience by ensuring that students have the most current and effective core materials. In addition, I consistently ensure that students are being taught by instructors who truly embody both passion for Emergency Medical Services and a true love for teaching. Under my leadership, students engage in both training and education at a level which consistently results in National Registry success rates which far exceed the national average, and sets them apart from their peers in the field. I have personally led over 18 EMT Academies and have taught over 250 students. As a program, we have developed into one of the largest EMT training Academies in the State of California. Through collaboration with a local ambulance provider, some of the industry's top instructor's and affiliation with the National Association of EMS Educators, we are able to put on a program that our students and I could not be more proud of. My personal goal as Chief Academic Officer and Lead Instructor is not to teach core curriculum alone, but to develop in each student a set of core values, a true pride in professionalism and a pathway for introspective thought, so that each student can continually strive for self-improvement along their journey. My goal is not only to teach the student, but to produce excellent healthcare practitioners who will help to elevate the profession.

Responsible for both providing and coordinating training of a 60-member volunteer emergency response team. Created and implemented internal employee protocols for emergency response and disaster planning. Conducted bi-annual building evacuation and fire safety drills. Worked directly with the Global Director of Environmental, Health and Safety and her team, to ensure all Hazardous Materials and Wastes used in a multitude of laboratories, were properly stored, handled and disposed of in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Provided instruction in light search and rescue techniques, fire extinguisher operation and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.

Proudly Served as a Non-Commissioned Officer at the rank of E-5, as a First Line Supervisor on a M1A1 Main Battle Tank. Supervised a tank crew to ensure all communications and operations were carried out to task. Held monthly education and training sessions relative to occupational communications and strategical planning. Participated in a Multi-National NATO Peacekeeping Task Force in Kosovo. While on deployment in the Balkan region, conducted both vehicular mounted patrols as well as foot patrols to both ensure local safety and order, and to establish communications in effort to foster working relationships to aid in providing regional stability.
