After many years working as a senior computer network consultant in the DC area for the federal government, I moved to San Diego in 2001 and, soon there after, decided to follow my passion: wine! I spent 6.5 years working in corporate wine/beer retail in preparation for opening my own retail store selling specialty wine and beer. In early 2012, I joined a like-minded individual in this endeavor, and my main responsibility is to build and run the wine department. While I greatly enjoy working one-on-one with customers, my true passion will be realized once we get our tasting license and I can begin leading advanced tastings and classes.Specialties: Very knowledgeable about beer and wine; Level 2 Sommelier, Certified Specialist of Wine, BJCP-certified beer judge, graduate of the Business of Wine program at SDSU; many connections in the brewing world from Anchorage to San Diego.
