I started with Lone Star Body Systems over 20 years ago when my Uncle (Terry Bailey) had only a 500 square foot, one-bay shop. From the time I turned 12 until I graduated at 18, I would fly out to Kansas and work in the shop with my Uncle to save money for a car. That's where this journey began. Throughout those summers I learned all of the specialties the LSBS offers to this day. After graduating high school I joined the Army in 2002. I went on to serve as a Green Beret in C. Co. 3rd Special Forces Group. I deployed to Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. A lot of the skills I learned working with my Uncle benefited me during my military carrier. I left the military and in 2007 became a firearm, tactics, driving, and executive protection instructor for Blackwater in North Carolina. I worked there from 2007-2017 teaching military, law enforcement, and civilians. In that time, without realizing it, I would develop skills and experiences that would benefit me now as the Director of Sales (East Coast) for LSBS. At Blackwater (also known as Xe, US Training Center, and currently ACADEMI) I assisted in sales, contract acquisitions, appointed contract proposal team lead, lead proposal presenter, and SME in large contract presentations. During this period I would also deploy, multiple times, as a Security Specialist for various government agencies working in Afghanistan. After my time at ACADEMI, I became a full-time Security Specialist working overseas in high-risk environments. In May of this year that 20-year journey came full circle. Instead of Kansas, I traveled to Texas to work for my Uncle. Only this time to an 83-acre facility with 167,000 square feet of shop space. I grew and so did the company!
