I entered the security industry in 1984 working in a central monitoring station then moved to Vancouver in 1985 where I spent 4 years building and installing custom locks and control systems for federal and provincial penitentiaries throughout BC and Alberta. I moved back to Victoria in 1989 and began working for Price's Alarms as an installer and service technician, then central station manager and account manager for provincial government clients.I started Quality Alarm Service in 1994 and we opened a monitoring station in 2000. Quality Alarms installed and monitored alarm systems and was the island's largest access control installation company. In 2010 I made the decision to leave the residential alarm monitoring business and I sold Quality to BMS/M6.Versatech Systems opened for business in March of 2012. The company is focused on the design, installation and servicing of security systems (video security, access control, alarm systems and intercoms) for commercial clients on South Vancouver Island.
