U. S. Army Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance Directorate (ISR), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD (1/2011 – 1/2015). Responsible for analyzing ISR Process Improvement training needs, writing organization-wide training plans, developing objective specific training plans, scripting & storyboarding WBT, developing instructional materials (online/print/instructor guides), video (writing/directing/producing) and instructor-led training products on Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) & Process Improvement. Previous responsibilities included supporting the Computer-Based Aircraft Survivability Training (CBAT) program development efforts, defining strategies for technical solutions servings a technical expert to the program, analyzing customer requirements, and advising product development based on the analysis of line of business needs, data gathering, collaborating with development team to ensure proper implementation of software requirements, and testing new functionality to ensure meeting all customer requirements.NOTE: I came aboard working with the CBAT program. When the Army defunded the position, LMCO moved me to the Process Improvement (PI) team. In 2013 management decided, rather than having a 12 person PI team working for 8 different contracting companies, they wanted the all PI personnel under one company and I “moved” to Wyle.

Leading a training development team to develop training programs (instructor-led, computer-based, web-based (ADL) and blended learning) in support of the US Army’s Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Center; performing “needs analysis” to determine appropriate level of effort for curriculum development; applying Systems Approach to Training (SAT) to all educational programs. Developing testing and evaluation procedures and metrics; conferring with client to assess training needs, challenging and evaluating past successes to leverage existing capabilities and experience. Supervising development team members during the design the above products, editing and proofing various instructional materials, including print, presentation and computer-based technical documents and developing standards for all educational materials.

Modernized existing courses and developed new requirements based on changing threats and environments, analyzed training requirements to develop course training and management plans, participate in annual review of existing courses to measure compliance with current doctrine and policy on Code of Conduct and personnel recovery, and to produce plans of instruction, instructor/student guides and ADL WBT.

Responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of USMC web-based training material utilizing MIL-STDS, Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and ADDIE model, adult education principles, technical/SCORM/508 standards, and accepted instructional design practices. Lead meetings or work groups to a common outcome. Work with USMC vendors to take courseware development from concept thru rollout. Produced training video, Casualty Assistance Calls Officer.
