Founded IDG in early 2000 and is still actively involved as its' Chairman. He has a rounded business career and a special interest in helping people attain their true business potential by making learning accessible and practical.Qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Practitioner.Began his career in Learning & Development as a partner in an accountancy training college, preparing students for their professional exams.Joined Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now part of PWC in the UK) in 1978 as Director of Studies. Became a partner in 1982, before serving on the Firm’s central management team as Assistant Managing Partner and head of Mergers and Acquisitions for the UK and Europe. As part of the central management team his responsibilities also included communications and executive development of 5,500 staff within the UK practice.In 1990 he left Deloitte to become Chairman and CEO of a UK PLC listed on the main UK Stock Exchange. He was involved in almost 30 acquisitions and disposals during his time there until the Group was sold to a large US Corporation, now owned by Warren Buffett's , Berkshire Hathaway.Stephen started IDG in 2000 and , in the same year, was a founding partner of Buckingham Corporate Finance, an M&A boutique. He is currently Chairman of The Fortius Group, the largest specialist orthopaedic clinic in London and MPE Electronics which manufactures PCB and electronic assemblies.He is a well known speaker on Business and Human Performance and has published numerous articles.
