In addition, the system interfaced with external applications and customers using a messaging approach and IBM’s MQ Series technology.• Designed, developed and implemented enhancements to the system to support changing business requirements using COOL:Gen.• Designed and developed interfaces to new systems as part of a conversion effort to SAP.• Primary contact for production technical issues with the system. The system is an on-line and batch system designed to keep track of facilities that interact with Missouri’s rivers, streams, and lakes, and monitors their pollution levels. This system is designed to match customer service applicants to unpaid accounts for several participating companies. The batch portion of the system is designed with emphasis on performance against a DB2 database. COOL:Gen is utilized in the design of the programs with Report Composer as the report developing tool. Worked on a team responsible for the coding and implementation for the CASH System for a major insurance company. This system consisted of 101 on-line transactions that handled creation, deletion, update, and display of rows from a DB2 database that contained 99 Entity Types. Several on-line transactions interfaced with ADABASE files and wrote data to Message Queue Manager, which could be browsed. Also, CASH utilized IEF in the design of 46 batch Procedures, which contained numerous external action blocks writing out flat files and reading ADABASE files.Responsible for the design, coding, and implementation for the Account Concepts project which was major enhancement to the CASH System to allow for multiple policies for an account. This project updated several of the on-line and batch Procedures as well as adding ten new on-line transactions, two of which utilized Temp Storage Queue, and two new batch Procedures. Also provided instruction and guidance to other team members on the BSD, Construction, and Implementation.Responsible for the design, coding, and implementation for the AFT project which was enhancement to the CASH System to allow for payments to be made electronically.
