Bright Green Print Solutions is a print solutions company based in Edinburgh. Our aim is to provide a professional, pro-active, project management service for our clients in relation to their design, print and storage requirements.

GMP Print Solutions is a print management company providing design, production, storage and installation services to local and national organisations. GMP specialised in providing carbon balanced, environmentally sustainable production solutions and this particularly appealed to charitable organisations and blue-chip corporate clients. Clients included Dobbies Garden Centres, Scotmid, Age Scotland, Friends of the Earth, Bethany Christian Trust and Baillie Gifford. A staff of 10 generated a turnover in excess of £3million annually. At any one time the production team would be working on around 80 live jobs whilst also providing quotes and advice in respect of speculative enquiries.The main purpose of my role as Commercial Director was to manage the day-to-day running of the company. I was required to oversee the work of the Production Director and his team, having previously spent three years in that role. I retained responsibility for the day to day production for key clients, ensuring the safe delivery of large, complex production jobs. In addition to this, I was the key contact for suppliers, negotiating favourable rates, establishing appropriate data security and environmental accreditation, as well as ensuring they were financially stable.I was also required to oversee various financial functions, preparing invoices and being responsible for the day to day financial administration. I was asked to take responsibility for liaising with consultants on HR contracts and policy as well as dealing with various office management tasks, including fleet and warehouse management. I worked on a number of ad-hoc projects including the sourcing of a MIS workflow system, fleet fuel cards and an office move.

Production: day-to-day management of marketing campaigns from design brief through to delivery for a range of corporate clients across numerous production sites. Keeping all key stakeholders informed throughout the process and making sure KPIs were met. Working to tight budgets and timescales on a range of products whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail and ensuring adherence to brand guidelines. Copy writing, proof reading and checking final print-ready files. Responsibility for organising and managing the production team, plus overall responsibility for the £2.5m production spend.Design: writing briefs and trafficking internal and external designers and agencies to produce work on schedule, to brief and within brand guidelines. I am also proficient in most design software packages.Client Relationships: main point of contact for large clients and agencies, liaising directly with stakeholders across departments to ensure successful delivery of projects. Developing and building excellent relationships based on exceptional service and product.Marketing Briefs: I was frequently involved by clients at the campaign planning stage to advise on creative and technical specification in order to ensure project delivery at optimum value. Suppliers: forming strong relationships with all key suppliers and continually assessing them for quality, service and price. I have extensive contacts in design, print, copywriting, photography and fulfilment and strong experience in managing all processes from tender through to completion. Experience and knowledge across all print production formats from digital, through litho, to large format and mailing.Project delivery: managing delivery logistics and installations of projects from multiple item POS campaigns to events, both internally and externally. Reporting: responsibility for reviewing and reporting on KPIs on project completion; keeping track of stock levels and reporting on financial variances.

Applecroft was a Marketing Services Agency specialising in the production & delivery of promotional & branding materials and back-end Agency support including design, artworking, print management, data-handling, digital, fulfilment, logistics, photography/ videography.My role was to ensure the smooth running and continual growth of the business from a start-up in the late nineties to a multi-million pound turnover company by 2009. This involved responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, plus finance, sales, management and recruitment.We handled print projects for companies such as Ryanair, RBS, HBOS, Ineos and Cala Homes on a diverse portfolio of products from brochures and scratch cards to recycled bags and pencils. We designed, then managed the production and installion of the internal and external signage and promotional materials for Ryanair across Europe for over 7 years.The company was sold in 2009 as a going concern to pursue other interests.
