2020 we were excited to bring back our old publication 'MR2 Only Magazine' with a refresh and renewed enthusiasm within the club scene for this iconic 80's,90's & early 20's 2 seater mid engined sports car.Each issue is published featuring owners MR2s from all around the world, we've published 2 printed new issues per year since 2020, in addition to the 22 issues we published back in around 2006 for 4 years.Publishing and magazine design is our thing and We're keen to help, advise, design and publish other publications, from 4 page newsletter, owners club magazines, to full glossy paid for magazines or brochures. Graphix - Stoke on TrentStudio Manager / Senior Designer / Creative - 2008 to presentReporting directly to company directors, hands-on responsibilities include:- • Managing and planning workflow/design and production of print, display, and web development. • Client facing, meeting to discuss briefs, budgets, proposals and presentations, managing client sign off. • Quoting, drawing up specifications and proposals, planning time scales and workload with creative team• Production planning with both in-house print plant, and arranging outsourcing of specialist print and print finishing services. • Creating visual concepts, design and proofing process through to final artwork and reprographics.• Up-keep of Apple Macintosh studio systems and network, archive, backup etc.• Production planning and running large format Mimaki full colour print machines for display.• Development of basic HTML/CSS and Wordpress content management including web hosting and email setup. • Up-keep of companies own marketing website and social media.

Reporting to company director, Managing and planning workflow/design and production of several periodic magazine titles, producing final layouts often to strict timescales and deadlines. Liaising with in-house journalists, managing workload with team of in-house designers, external companies and agencies for supplied advertising, creating new advertising and feature page layouts. Preparing final electronic files and production schedules with external printers.

Leek

In 2003 I was part of a group of former Leek Post & Times employees that launched a new weekly newspaper in the market town of Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands, reporting on local news, issues, sport etc, peaking weekly sales of 5000 copies. I worked with the news team, and editor to layout the newspaper, working to strict deadlines, and organise all of the pre-press through to production. We also published a very popular secondary monthly publication, Times gone By, a glossy nostalgia magazine.
