I'm a foreign language instructor specializing in Spanish and I'm currently exploring avenues to expand my career horizon beyond the classroom. I have strong interests in language, linguistics, geography, international relations, ethnography, and economics. My formal MA paper and oral presentation analyzed transitional capitalist development in the state of Oaxaca, EUM, during the eighties and early nineties, specifically through a case study of the fusion of traditional indigenous economic practices with modern economic strategies. My research included an early interest in innovative microlending strategies. My goal is to apply my education, linguistic expertise, experience and skill set to new opportunities and employment settings in the public or private sector. Currently, my special focus of interest is in the development of new Spanish language learning applications, particularly ones which would benefit from algorithms developed from semantic mapping grounded in six linguistic parameters that I have identified. Today's workplace is global, dynamic, and subject to constant reinvention and change. I am always excited about opening new doors and exploring additional career trajectories in a marketplace that could benefit from my assets.
