Over the course of my career I have been involved in the transportation industry working my way from a Truck Driver and Mechanic thru positions of Driver Trainer, Customer Service, Driver Manager, Driver Recruiter, General Manager, Project Manager, finally the IT and Telecommunications for Truck Driver Institute and CDI Services, Inc. and the Parts Manager for Michiana Truck Centers a Isuzu and UD Truck Dealership.My current position is multifaceted as an IT / Telecom / Parts Manager for CDI Services Inc., Truck Driver Institute, Commercial Driver Institute and Michiana Truck Centers.My responsibility's include purchasing, negotiation contracts, developing, deploying and maintaining the organizations telecommunications services and hardware, its servers and networking infrastructure and licensing, program development, implementation and maintenance and security platform implementation and maintenance.Additional daily responsibilities include managing the parts department, manage inventory, purchasing all parts, over the counter sales, assisting with customer service. Job duties include managing the staff in the parts department, overseeing the order process for replacement parts for inside (shop) and over the counter (outside) customers, and boosting sales of parts.Past responsibilities included, General Management and hands on activities of assisting tucking companies with over the road maintenance and road breakdown issues by interfacing with the customer, their drivers and on road and in shop repair vendors and truck dealerships.
