I am an academic researcher specialising in the intellectual history of the medieval Islamic world, with a partiucular focus on religious writings: the Qur'an, the interpretation of the Qur'an and the hadith. I also have an interest in the life and work of the Egyptian scholar, Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti (d. 911/1505).
