Throughout my career i have had experience with a multitude of different equipment through several different roles.I initially started working with area systems communications, specifically the army's then new Cormorant system and satellite communications. It was whilst working with this equipment that i deployed on my first operational tour to Afghanistan where i was employed on a rear link detachment supporting an armoured infantry unit. I gained 3 years of experience here.From there i then went on to work with Bowman radio equipment, again on an individual detachment. i gained 2 years of experience hereIn 2011 i then went on to work at a Tactical Air Control Party where i was the only signaler and therefore solely responsible for the setup, maintenance and accountability of the radio equipment. I deployed for a second tour of Afghanistan with this unit and, although it was a challenge, i thoroughly enjoyed it.I am currently deployed on my third tour of Afghanistan where i am employed as the crypto accountant for my troop.From starting my first unit in 2005 i have gained experience in Satellite, HF, VHF and ground to air communications as well as area systems communications. i have also learned how to programme, maintain and fault find. I am also Developed Vetted and have completed my crypto accountants course, a role i now have experience in.
