I am an experienced Chief Business Officer with a demonstrated history of working in education and nonprofit industry. With expertise in budgeting, business planning, accounting practices, management, teaching, and coaching, I have a passion for ethical stewardship. As Chief Business Officer, I implement the vision of the Board of Trustees and Head of School into practical day-to-day policies and procedures. This includes everything from marketing to human resources, accounting, IT, and facility maintenance. I ensure these functions are working together effectively to achieve the company’s goals. I am a strong financial professional with a Master of Arts in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.I also coach varsity soccer and track and field. It is a passion of mine to motivate student athletes to strive to reach their potential on the field and in life. I have coached many teams to conference championships and coached a runner to win the school's first state championship in track and field.I have taught high school math ranging from Algebra 1 to Calculus. Using textbooks and modern technology, I enjoy the challenge of teaching students a life skill that many students will use for the rest of their lives. It is a fulfilling experience to witness students that struggle with math gain confidence in a subject that will help them the rest of their lives. If I'm not in my office, classroom, or athletic field, I am probably working on a way to promote kids to get outside. I have cut in a cross country / nature trail, built playgrounds, and led outdoor summer adventures in the James River Park System in downtown Richmond.
