About Stephen Colon

I have 30+ years of experience in law enforcement. During that time I have conducted investigations, worked as a trainer, and handled a variety of administrative tasks. As a supervisor, I worked in Human Resources and was directly involved in the hiring process, the workers compensation claims desk, and I oversaw the background investigations unit. I also assisted with the investigation of sexual and workplace harassment cases. I retired from the Santa Ana Police Department as the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division. I oversaw 60+ employees who were responsible for investigating property crimes, robbery, domestic violence, child abuse and other serious offenses.Currently, I work for the City of Los Angeles as the Chief Investigator with the Ethics Commission.
