National Community Engagement Manager
CurrentKidney Health Australia is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving health outcomes and quality of life for people living with kidney disease, their families and carers. As part of the Community team the Kidney Youth Program has been established to support the design and delivery of a national peer support and education program for young people (15-24 years) living with advanced kidney disease.The design, establishment and delivery of the program incorporated an extensive research and literature review, national community consultations and surveys, broad stakeholder engagement including young people living with kidney disease and their carers, clinicians and health professionals, contractual and financial management.This clinical and community research has informed the co-design of the Kidney Youth Program which includes a national peer based support network, activities, educational tools, resources and services.As the Youth Program Manager the role also includes representing the organization as a nominated Child Safety Officer including relevant training and accreditation along with policy and procedural review.
