An FCA accountant with 30 years of varied PQE spent in industry and latterly education. I'd describe it as a commercial background in Manufacturing, Financial Services and Education sectors, with varied activity in growth, strategic & operational management, project implementation, financial control and business execution. I've led teams in pressurised and complex working environments, sometimes restoring, sometimes building, but always with a view to being relevant, credible and shaping the way forwards. My own path from private sector to public service has led me to the first days of Transform Trust, a Multi Academy Trust in the East Midlands. The longest stint in any role to date, I'm hugely proud of what we have achieved so far, and there is still plenty to do.
