Working as part of a manufacturing plant producing Titanium dioxide (TiO2) I am working closely with a team comprising of a Mechanical Specialist, Area Process Specialist and Chemical Engineer. My current role is varied within a Top Tier COMAH site operating on a 24/7 continual basis. My Cristal Experience is as below,• As a Maintenance Engineer I am responsible for all maintenance and engineering activity in theBase Production Plant.• Compilation and authorisation of maintenance method statements and risk assessments, prior toactivities. This also involves review and approval of contractor risk assessments/method statements for areas of responsibility.• Monitoring of equipment performance and implement improvements to ensure corrective actionsare completed.• Creation of Change Orders where “Management Of Change” is required, in order to maintain a“Safe” Working environment.• Compilations of engineering reports, ensuring learning’s are communicated across the site.• Provide engineering support to reliability driven projects within my area of responsibility.• Writing and providing relevant documentation, including business cases for Capital expenditurefor long term Plant upgrades.During my time at Cristal I have additionally managed a multi disciplined team comprising of Mechanical, Electrical and Production Engineers creating day to day solutions in order to run the plant to its optimum performance safely along with the long term vision and responsibilities of the sites long term plan. Following 8 months managin the engineering team I then went onto manage for 9 months a team of 30+ Mechanical Craftsman. I was responsible for all Mechanical Scheduled and Reactive Maintenance Execution on site. This being a hands on role within the core of production i not only lead the man power but and heavily involved with the engineering solutions my team were implementing via Management of Change every day.

During that acquisition we became a sister company of Durst who are based in the US. Durst are a leading gearbox manufacture who produces Pump Drives, Transfer Cases and Rail axle gearboxes. Good understanding of electrical installation and maintenance.• Installed air systems for the installation and relocation during Kaizen events.• Managed Kaizen events to improve productivity and reduce costs. This included chemical process change which reduced gas consumption by 2/3’s and reduced the process time down one of our busiest lines.
