CurrentSupervised over 300-400 Marines and Sailors. Assisted the commander as the senior enlisted Marine in the unit. Kept apprised of all Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and Marine Corps orders, directives and policies, and disseminated information to the unit's personnel regarding such policies. Assisted recovery care coordinators, non-medical and medical case managers during the transition period of wounded, ill or injured Marines. Assisted the commander leagal matters. Monitored an array of events to ensure compliance with applicable Marine Corps regulations. Enhanced the professionalism of participants in ceremonies ranging from formations for promotion and awards to complex events such as Marine Corps Balls. Inspected all event facilities to ensure they conform to ceremonial requirements. Coordinated services for events, such as hotel accommodations and transportation for participants, displays, special needs requirements, printing programs and event security. Met with organizing committees to plan scope and format of events, monitored cash collections, and reviewed administrative procedures and event planning progress. Planned and supervised the development of programs, agendas, and services according to event requirements. Participated and coordinated multiple retirements, promotions, awards, Marine Corps Ball ceremonies, and security briefings. Supervised all clerical and administrative matters; training functions and the employment of the command in garrison and in the field; logistic functions such as billeting, transportation, and messing; inspections and investigations; personnel management; and all daily routines. Organized and served as the Senior Enlisted member on all meritorious promotions and Noncommissioned Officer and Marine of the Quarter boards. Served as the Senior Enlisted Marine at the Battalion level in the absence of the Sergeant Major and advised the Battalion Commander as needed.
