New postition as Estate Building SurveyorCurrently responsible for new / refurbishment of Putney H S boat house on the Thames embankment at Putney 400k. About to start 800k refurbishment of the original Wimbledon all England Tennis Club house / pavilion at Wimbledon high school for girls . This building was bought by the school in 1923 it is the place were Fred Perry won the tennis championship before, Andy Murry . The role I have is the clients representative and client project manager. The work is scheduled to be completed in time for start of Next Years Wimbledon Championship when it will be opened.

Capital Project Manager for the University my role is across campus, these being Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough . I manage a team of Building officers and outside consultants to deliver projects for the University This role involves me in detail discussions with client/faculty departments, agreeing client brief, specifications, detail design and construction information. manage and control a Capital Budget this year of £1,200,000 for the Estates and Facilities each year plus a further £250,000 for other department projects/budgets.I also manage a further maintenance fabric budget of £250,000. Large infrastructure projects such as new highway within Chelmsford campus I have instigated new management principles for projects such as Detail Construction Specifications, Material and Workmanship Specification.I have developed and instigated a new safe system of work and its procedures including the issuing of Permit to Work certificates.

As a Specification Consultant for Davis Langdon Schumann Smith in Manchester. This role involves me in detail discussions with various architects/clients practices about their projects. I was the business account manager for Dyer Architects London and RMJM Edinburgh. These discussions enabled me to write and compiling the individual projects Construction Specification and standards for that project. Value of these projects range between. 1 South Trafford College in Trafford/Manchester, value £23 million.2 Central Sussex College, value £48 million.3 St Patrick College Dublin 52 million Euros4 University Centre Peterborough £ 8.2 million. 5 West Kent College £34 million

Macclesfield

At AstraZeneca in Macclesfield, where I was the Building and Facilities Manager the Pharmaceutical Production building for AstraZeneca Macclesfield. The building being 45,000m2 in area. As the Buildings and Facilities Manager for the largest building on the Macclesfield site valued at £1.3billion pounds replacement value. In that role I was the client side representative responsible for the interface between the different users/departments, and the contractors.This building with its facilities were multifunctional in operation. The users of the building ranged from tablet production staff to office staff together with testing facilities, each of these various groups needing differing requirements.I managed a team of 13 service support technicians who reported to me and supported me in delivering both projects, facilities required for the operation of the production functions within the building. I produced and implemented fabric maintenance program for the Pharmaceutical Production buildingAs key member of the Engineering Services Management Group. I advised the Group Manager/Engineer on a range of issues relating to Safety Health and Environment. These included all aspects of Health and Safety :• Risk Assessments.• Fire Risk Assessments.• Emergency Procedures. • Management of Asbestos. The role also required me to manage the following: • Compile the Asset Management Strategy for the Production Building. • Client side representative for project work other my own.• Management of the maintenance budget.• Management of Safe system of working for contractors and maintenance staff. • Management of the maintenance budget and the capital projects budget.• Management of Asbestos within the buildings In that role I project managed various projects in the building, responsible for coordination of consultants, contractors.
