Leads and manages the Regulatory Program in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties with a team of 30+ Section Chiefs, Interdisciplinary Project Managers, and administrative staff. Implements section 404 of the Clean Water Act, section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, and section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act.The mission of the Regulatory Program is to protect the nation's aquatic resources and navigable capacity while allowing economic development through fair and balanced decisions.

One of two co-facilitators for Tier II of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District Leadership Development Program, an approximately year-long training course for emerging leaders to develop skills and competencies required for higher level roles and responsibilities throughout the 800-person organization and beyond. Builds on the foundation established by Tier I and prepares associates for Tier III programs offered by Major Subordinate Commands.

Hosted and organized the Southern California Dredged Materials Management Team and Contaminated Sediments Task Force, a monthly forum for agencies to review sampling plans and placement options and make sediment suitability determinations for all Civil Works and Regulatory dredging projects in Southern California. Physical, chemical, and biological tests are conducted to determine whether sediment is suitable for beneficial reuse (e.g., beach nourishment) or should be placed at approved disposal sites.

Led and managed the Regulatory Program in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties with a team of eight interdisciplinary project managers and administrative staff, serving a population of over 12 million and covering an area of over 25,000 square miles, with a diverse array of projects from the ocean to the mountains and deserts of Southern California. Made permitting decisions pursuant to section 404 of the Clean Water Act, section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, and section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act. Ensured compliance with other federal laws, including the.National Environmental Policy Act, section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, section 305 of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, section 401 of the Clean Water Act, and the Coastal Zone Management Act.
