Have just started a new role at Prototipo, a small company in Auckland that designs and manufactures high-performance engine and drive-train solutions. My role there is to run their small CNC machine when required and to help with design and QA logistics for their products. Previously worked at Buckley Systems where I completed an apprenticeship as a Machine Toolmaker. I spent 15 years at the company working on various CNC machines, spending the last few years as a Team Leader of a small group of machinists. My last 18 months with the company was spent as the Machine Shop Technical Partner where my responsibilities included investigating and correcting quality issues, organizing tooling, process improvements and fixture design. Outside of work I devote most of my spare time to Archery, where I have competed both domestically and internationally for many years. I no longer have great international ambitions in the sport but I still train hard to achieve my goals domestically and continue to develop as an athlete and coach. I also love rock climbing and general DIY.
