Work in a multi-disciplinary team providing full design and supply consulting services to clients within the mining and metals industry. Specific tasks include:• Engineering services related to mechanical, structural, electrical, and thermal aspects of designs.• Research and development related to the development of new technologies.• Patent drafting, reviews, and applications.• Internal quality assurance and design reviews.• Development of equipment manuals, specifications, as well as tender packages.• Review supplier bid documents and evaluate design concepts.

Seasonal position within Inshore Rescue, responsible for independently managing and operating an Inshore Search and Rescue base along with a highly skilled crew. Specific tasks include:• Daily operation and maintenance of all search and rescue equipment.• Maintain awareness of over 700 square nautical miles of ocean and coastline.• Organize weekly practical and theory based training exercises.• Complete weekly documentation relating to equipment, crew and station status.• Assess hazardous situations and provide emergency medical care when necessary.

Responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, machinery, and equipment using applied knowledge of engineering principles. In addition, emphasis was placed on:• Reviewing, improving and/or creating engineering drawings and specifications.• Internal design work including electronics enclosures and pressure vessels.• Reviewing designs for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturability.• Process monitoring and controls to allow for just-in-time manufacturing.• Development of automated scheduling, work-center loading, and material allocations.• Real-time internal data management, as well as monitoring of all sub-contractors.• Standardization and optimization of inspection procedures.
