This entails delivering annual peer performance review, discussion of development needs, goal setting, and analysis of patient and colleague feedback surveys for General Medical Council revalidation.

Associate Executive Coach, working with companies such as Wesleyan Mutual, Concentrix, Baillie Gifford.e.g. Working with a large global multinational company in their cultural integration project after a large acquisition, this involved providing intensive direct input for the gatherings of both the Asian and European senior leaders of the organisation. I enjoy communicating to large groups, both through verbal presentation and also seeking innovative use of information technology. I have been invited to present workshops to various organisations on topics such as leadership, workplace culture, managing transition, coaching skills, resilience, engagement. E.g. to all GP appraisers in Northern Ireland, to GP retainer mentors, to groups of over 100 teachers. I have frequently been asked to present training workshops for the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training agency and for the Royal College of General Practitioners in NI.

FMLM recommended executive coach. Coaching GPs, consultants and other health care professionals towards enhanced leadership skills and culture change. I also work in the capacity of GP Mentor for both FMLM and NIMDTA.

Communication skills, Clinical Skills, Emergency Care, Portfolio Tutor.Considerable involvement in teaching of Undergraduate Medical Students (since 2011). I perform the following main roles at Queens University in Belfast: I am a portfolio and pastoral tutor (6 years of experience assisting 1st and 2nd year students to develop into reflective practitioners), Clinical skills tutor (years 1 and 2) and Communication skills tutor (professionalism, complex consultations, core communication skills etc), 4th year General Practice course. I co-lead and am responsible for developing the ‘Patient Safety’ and ‘Acute Care’ courses with 5th year medical students (human factors, teamwork, cognition, critical communication, simulation of medical emergencies). I have been an examiner for OSCE’s since 2012 (covering all stages of the curriculum).

I am now working as a sessional General Practitioner (including Out of Hours) since 2009, gaining experience of working with teams in approximately 40 practices over that time period.

I have been a Practising Doctor since 2002, working in specialties such as Accident and Emergency, General Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Paediatrics. Over 15 years experience of working within the NHS, as well as working in an ED in Melbourne, Australia 2003-2004.

I delivered a 24 week course Core coaching trainer on Diploma course. Here I trained coaches to ILM level 5. I also worked as an associate, providing one to one coaching to clients in education, business, community and voluntary sectors.
