Stephen Hicks is from Phoenix, Arizona and now serves as the sports director for KFSN-TV, the ABC affiliate serving Fresno, California. In this role, he works as a multimedia journalist shooting, writing and editing enterprising stories while also anchoring and producing his own segments. He also produces and hosts a weekly 30 minute show devoted to all things Fresno State athletics.Before moving to Fresno he was the sports director at 23ABC in Bakersfield, CA. During CSU Bakersfield’s March Madness runs, he singlehandedly reported on the team’s games in Las Vegas, Berkeley, Fort Collins, Arlington and New York City, often doing the job of 2-3 other people from the competition. His focus as a storyteller and to be digital first led him to having the most sports likes/followers in the market. Before taking the sports job at KERO-TV, Stephen was a news reporter at 23ABC after working as a news correspondent for PBS Arizona in Washington D.C.
