Responsible for policy development and developing cross-Council initiatives in relation to community health and wellbeing and gender equality. Leading Council’s work on advancing gender equality both internally and externally, mental health and wellbeing, and addressing climate change and health.• Project Initiatives: Developed the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021-2025, developed Council’s first community Mental Wellbeing Plan, led the process for developing the Gender Equality Action Plan, successfully gained Free From Violence Local Government Program funding, and developed the Gender Impact Assessment toolkit and capacity building program.

My key duties were to build the capacity of community organisations with a focus on strategic planning, project/program development, budgeting, project planning, stakeholder engagement. I was also responsible for leading Councils work on addressing social justice issues including preventing violence against women, gender equality, Indigenous reconciliation and social exclusion. Other duties included grant writing, monitoring, reporting and evaluation, supervising and mentoring junior staff, representing council on a range of community partnerships and networks including the Macedon Ranges Family Violence Network.• Project Initiatives: Formed and led the Rural Challenge Partnership (for primary prevention), designed and co-developed the Rural Challenge Gender Equality Leadership Program, led a 12-month organisational process to develop Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan, developed a successful weekly community lunch program with Kyneton Neighbourhood Hood.
