Involved in the use and training of all of the Engineering Systems used by the company. Primarily PTC products Creo and Windchill. Also heavily involved in the automation of assembly models to decrease the design cycle. An example of the design automation developed is the creation of numerous models that reduced the time to make new drawings and BOM data from 8 hours to 10 minutes.

Responsibilities include gathering all of the company's technical data into a unified data management system to allow for better communications and improved access to all forms of information by the data consumers, both internal and external to the company. This is done primarily in SolidWorks Pro PDM data management software. I also manage the data entry tasks for BOM's and Items in the company business system (Microsoft GP). I was the team lead in the creation of an improved ECN system, based around the SolidWorks Pro PDM system and now manage the ECN system within the company. I also manage various projects to document and improve many business systems, and help data consumers with requests for improved access.

All things PTC related are under my control. From training new users in CREO 2 and Windchill 10.2 to assisting veteran users. Install and manage all CREO 2 software. Automate the user experience using trail files, mapkeys, and J-Link programming.Produced complete, timely drawings/BOM’s for numerous product development projects. “Go To” resource on engineering/application disconnects and creating cross-functional process standards.Provided Sales with a web-based tool delivering a complete set of drawings, models and schematics within 30 minutes vs. previous 3-day turnaround.Reduced BOM and other business system entry errors 50%. Defined the tasks for each process and created PDF documents with embedded links, detailing step-by-step instructions.Led installation of Pro/E and Creo software at 5 sites, as well as deciding when new versions were required. Used its highly configurable J-Link feature to create numerous custom applications.  Managed collection/entry of content creating the Design Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales & Marketing SharePoint sites. Deployed a user-friendly approach ensuring content was easy to find, offered instructions with links to examples, and an easily expandable web interface for new content. Structured a notice of change alert system/database. Used Perl to send advisory emails to affected parties whenever drawings, contracts and other documents were revised/ and/or replaced.Notable accomplishments: Reduced the design cycle of major components from 2 months and 800 engineering hours down to 1 week and 40 engineering hours. Managed year-long project migrating 50,000+ drawings from a micro-fiche system to an electronic database, offering a customized ProductView platform and mobile user access.
