I’ve been volunteering at the Bayview Play and Learn for more than 5 years. I assist the teachers in whatever capacity they need. I also collaborate with them on providing integrated lessons on their themes each time. My usual role is to provide music, movement, puppetry, and fun!!!

I currently help elementary aged children from low income families with their homework. This is a volunteer position following my retirement after 30 years of teaching Kindergarten in the Evansville (WI) Community School District. I also have played music for these children and for those who attend Head Start in the same building.

I retired in June of 2009 after 30 happy years teaching Kindergarten to the students of Evansville, Wisconsin. Music was always a part of every day of my teaching. It makes learning fun, and also helps children to remember important things. In recent years, I've written quite a few songs to help children learn specific lessons.
