I started working as a certified surgical technologist in january 2010 at Gainesville Surgery Center specializing in arthroscopy and minor fracture surgeries. From there I moved on to Emory Saint Josephs Hospital Atlanta where I specialized arthroscopy, unicompartmental joint replacement, manual and robotic total joint replacement, complex fractures involving joint replacement revisions, complex total joint revisions, spine fractures, spine fusions including: xlif's, tlif's, plif's, acdf's, pcdf's, minimally invasive spine fusions. I also performed in peripheral vascular surgery, open AAA and endo vascular surgery, general surgery, ENT surgery, thoracic surgery, robotic prostate and gynecological procedures, urology. In 2014 I began employment at Northside Forsyth where i primarily assist in total joint replacement surgeries, sports medicine procedures, neurosurgery, orthopedic spine surgery, and general surgery, bariatric surgery and occaisional plastic surgery involving muscle flaps. In 2019 I began working at Crystal Clinic Orthopedic Center where I assist in all orthopedic cases previously mentioned as well as plastic surgery DIEP Procedures.I am very team orriented, I assist in room turnover, patient positioning, if assigned as an extra staff personel I do anything to speed up flow of surgery including: room turnover, pulling suture, dressing, and any additional supllies needed for all case carts. If possible when giving breaks I stay scrubbed in for longer periods to help with setup on larger cases.
