•Ensure safety and quality checks are carried out in line with Openreach policy.•Hold regular face to face contact with team members, monthly 121s, field visits. •Take responsibility for a full range of people issues across a team of 30 Engineers, including attendance, health & safety, security, discipline and grievance, performance leadership and improvement of all direct reports and the team.•Ensure that all hours are authorised on time and that all work executed is booked correctly.•Responsible for the overall network health and capability, its improvement and its stability. Actively encourage a change in culture from reactive to proactive operation of the network in order to reduce costs and improve service. •Act as role model for the BT Group values and behaviours expected within Openreach and consistently improve the commitment of Openreach people and their overall perception of BT Group as a first-class employer. •Promote and create a culture based on patch pride and ownership.•Actively promote compliance with the Openreach version of the BT Code of Practice and its undertakings.•Deliver operational targets including service and budgets as agreed with your line manager.
