I currently manage 3 teams – Professional Standards Unit, Business Support Team and the Wellbeing Team – with 24 staff in total reporting to me. Together, we investigate public complaints and misconduct, provide logistical support to front-line teams and offer Officer wellbeing services. In addition to this, I deliver training to groups of Officers and promote organisational development and continuous improvement, using Lean methodology. Key achievements in this position include: -Re-designed property handling policy, streamlining and reducing rejected items using LEAN methodology- Compiled training packages for post-incident and misconduct procedures, delivered presentations and facilitated 15 training days, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback- Supported staff on long-term sick leave back into work, including managing an Officer back following 3 years of workplace absence and overseeing performance processes. - Reduced vehicle fines from £8,000 per annum to £1,000 per annum by implementing a borough-wide vehicle sharing programme, reinforcing policy and providing Officer training - Acquired a reputation as the line manager of choice, due to supporting and making time for staff and cross-trained staff to increase capacity across the function

As an advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, I shared my expertise in developing policy and advising on employment law. Key achievements in this position included: - Rewrote safe working policies when Covid hit, developed a contingency plan and new office rosters and sourced PPE, enabling the organisation to meet demand whilst operating safely- Applied for, and secured, promotion on the advice of the Borough Commander

Leading a team managing over 4,500 licenced premises. Collaboration with key stakeholders to manage licencing applications and reviews. Key achievements in this position included: - Managed the integration of 4 London Boroughs into one effective team creating consistency and improving standards of safety. - Strengthening team by recruiting diversity into a historically male dominated environment, forging closer working relationships with key stakeholders.- Closed two premises following an escalation in violence and criminality where stepped approach had not worked. Immediate reductions in crime and anti social behaviour achieved.

In addition to my permanent role, I was also a member of the search team undertaking deployments across London as needed. I led teams to conduct counter-terrorism and crime scene searches, created legally-compliant search plans and conducted risk assessments to ensure the safety and security of colleagues and the public. Key achievements in this position included: - Completed a secondment to the search team for the 2012 Olympics, writing counter-terrorism search plans and managing search teams for 3 buildings- Kept a team safe and motivated through 20+ hazardous searches at Grenfell Tower- Conducted high-profile security searches for Trooping the Colour, national events and Presidential visits
