Stephen Kahn is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Founder and President of the Abundance Foundation, which focuses on global health, education, and empowerment. He has practiced in Haiti, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Zambia. In 2010, in partnership with Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Partners In Health (PIH), the Abundance Foundation launched the Abundance Project for Global Health to advance innovative initiatives to promote healthy communities and social justice initiatives worldwide. This multifaceted project continues to this day and has supported the launch of the Masters of Medical Science of Global Health Delivery at HMS, a Family Medicine Residency at PIH Haiti, Cholera vaccine research in Haiti, Ebola diagnostics research in Sierra Leone, the Human Resources for Health Initiative in Rwanda, and the Better Evidence project at Ariadne Labs at the Harvard School of Public Health.
