Manage the Security Division responsible for the protection of over 650,000 acres of Commercial Timberlands and associated assets. Contract supervision for the building and installation of gates and security patrol.Investigate criminal, internal, and liability issues and incidents from inception through the court proceedings and the restitution phase. Upon conclusion, write clear and concise reports on incidents and crimes for law enforcement agencies, district attorneys, and management. Resolve criminal and civil incidents through interviewing suspects and witnesses using investigative techniques.Develop training programs and presentations for employees, law enforcement, district attorneys, and other companies.Create and promote a network of Law Enforcement agencies, personnel, district attorneys and other persons in the forest security field to assist in investigation of crimes and incidents. Develop programs for accurate and efficient security operations.Managed drug and alcohol testing program. Developed testing protocol, established network of testing facilities.Safety responsibilities included managing contractor workforce’s safety program, new employee orientation, emergency preparedness management, emergency action plan, etc.Direct vehicle purchases and oversee all vehicle fleet repairs and replacement. Negotiate legal easements to access timberlands for forestry operations. Complete Road Use Agreements with neighboring landowners and other timber companies. Align all work projects with the Company’s Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Work with adjacent landowners for resolution of ownership disputes, trespasses, condemnation actions and damage claims. Manage the recreation access program for six recreational permit areas across two states, including: access locations, locks and keys, patrol schedule and contracts, permittee and public dispute resolution, dispatch of patrol personnel to incidents.
