Accountable for driving the commercial effectiveness of Qantas' third-party caterers'. Delivering transformation projects to meet department and divisional targets. Working closely with other key stakeholders to continue to improve feedback mechanisms for quality/process concerns, and establish and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Leading a team with responsibility for all aspects of menu cost analysis for Q Catering, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways Limited. This role represents multiple Q Catering businesses in providing expect analytical support and advice to key stakeholders around current and future menus, its impact against budget and other initiatives. Also responsible for leading and contributing to key projects.

Responsibilities:• Manage and authorise the pricing of meals and services for all Q Catering customers nationally in a high volume, change driven market• Lead price negotiations with key clients• Maintain a detailed client profitability model detailing the return by client by site at both a gross and net level • Manage a team of Pricing Analysts• Provide guidance and support to the National Pricing team including training and assisting in recruitment• Manage, and where necessary introduce, new policy guidelines for menu pricing and invoicing to ensure business objectives and profit margins are achieved and maintained• Coordinate and lead, as required, the development and implementation of uniformity of systems and practices in costing and pricing• Contribute to the implementation of various Catering projects linked to the pricing process• Develop and implement national standardised pricing tools• Establish, develop and foster professional relationships with internal and external customer account representativesKey Achievements: • Implement a new transfer pricing methodology for costing product and services supplied to Qantas. This included gaining stakeholder agreement on the treatment of overheads and other indirect costs that satisfied all stakeholders

In a seconded role while holding the position of Manager Pricing I performed the cost modelling as well as contributed to the formation and implementation of a pioneering outsourcing project that established the future operating model for the Catering business

Responsibilities:• Manage the Pricing, Billings and Product Specification departments within the Melbourne Catering facility • Manage and authorise the pricing of meals and services for all clients ex Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth• Lead price negotiations with key clients• Ensure all revenue is captured and billed commensurate with contracts and products/services supplied• Prepare and present budgets, forecasts and actual statistical revenue information to management

Responsible for budgets and forecasts, month end processing including provision of detailed variance analysis for Qantas’ worldwide spend on Catering and associated handling. Also reviewed contract and pricing arrangements with Caterers to ensure obligations were met and Qantas invoiced correctly.
