Managing a small team that provides all aspects of IT support to 1200 students (aged 11-18) and 150 full-time staff at a specialist school for Maths & Computing. As part of a working group, devise long-term strategies to help the school make the best use of technology in a sustainable way. Ensure compliance in areas such as data protection, freedom of information, and implement all relevant guidance from bodies such as the Department for Education. Plan and budget for hardware refresh cycles and software licensing. Undertake research into new and emerging technologies, presenting business cases where it may be deemed beneficial. Plan, project manage and implement any new technologies. Resolve any escalated technical issues. Assign and prioritise team workloads. Procure new services and goods, evaluating vendor quality and value. Liaise with 3rd party vendors and contractors. Ensure maximum availability, continuity and security of all technology throughout the school. Provide audit and usage reports when required.
