We have the ability to provide mezzanine/subordinated debt, cash flow term loans, and minority equity investments to Canadian and US based companies, and financial sponsors, operating in a wide range of industries. We are interested in providing capital to companies that require financing beyond their traditional debt capacity. We are actively seeking investment opportunities in the $3 million to $30 million range. Typical transactions include growth capital, shareholder transitions, management buyouts, recapitalizations and equity withdrawal strategies.

Accountable for deal origination, evaluation, management and execution; team recruiting, coaching and management; quality and risk management; group strategic planning and budgeting; and actual to budget results.Representative Transactions include:► Advisor to Horizon Holdings Inc., an Ontario electricity LDC, and its shareholders, the cities of Hamilton and St. Catharines, on the merger with Enersource and PowerStream, and the acquisition of Hydro One Brampton Networks, resulting in Alectra;► Advisor to Innomar Strategies Inc., a Canadian specialty pharmaceutical services company, in analyzing a number of alternatives, which resulted in its acquisition by a NYSE listed global pharmaceutical services company;► Financial advisor to Air Georgian, flying under Air Canada’s Air Alliance banner, in structuring, arranging and negotiating $26.8 million in fleet and operations financing;► Advisor to Longyuan Canada Renewables for the 100MW Dufferin wind project; including recommendation of financing alternatives, presentation to credit rating agencies, and advising on a $200 million private placement unsecured bond;► Financial advisor to JS Redpath Holdings, a global provider of services to the mining industry, in assessing various refinancing options, and in the structuring and arrangement of a global syndicated financing;► Advisor to Palmerston Grain, a soft commodity procurement and trading business, in developing strategic alternatives, structuring and arranging a $45 million senior debt financing, and later selling the business; and,► Financial advisor to Ewnin Utilities, the electricity LDC for Windsor, ON, in developing a number of strategic alternatives resulting in the creation of a "single utility" and advising on a senior secured bond financing.
