Full life-cycle trade processing of SPACS, reorg equities, convertible bonds, high-yield distressed credit, loans, claims, gray market securities

Responsible for making sure the entire lifecycle of a trade; from booking/allocating through settlement is done in an timely and efficient manner Processing SPAC securities: splitting units and adjusting the corresponding common stock, warrants, and rights to generate accurate P/L figures. Making sure all tradable securities are set-up with our custodian.

Booking At-The-Market Offerings; settling shares by setting up DWACS. Adjusting client positions (equity and cash) caused by corporate actions. Continuing to boost client business with strong focus on client servicing. Settling dividend payments and other cash positions using SPO’s. Working with FBSI, Streetscape, Thompson One and Office daily to open.

Operations

Responded to all FINRA/SEC Inquiries pertaining to all trades firm wide. Working with Cowen’s ERM to complete the annual TMMS Exams as well as all other regulatory requests. Daily Surveillance Reports including, but not limited to: sales practice, odd lots, firm disgorgements, rejected ACT, employee trading pre-clearances, REG-SHO, Gift and Entertainment.

Role consisted of opening new accounts; brokerage, individual and retirement. Client services: Answering market questions, gauging client risk tolerance and sector focuses. Inputting data into Scottrade's OMS and Pinnacle software, depositing client funds in US Bank System, and confirming margin/cash balances.

Cold calling company leads with annual sales of 15 million to a billion dollars. Discussing potential investments based on the firms main analyst Stan Weinstein. Learned how a full service retail brokerage house runs along with process/methods to sell a service over the phone.
