Steve became Oxy’s Vice President – Integrated Supply (Supply Chain) in December 2018 until his retirement in October 2019.Previously Steve served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Oxy Oil and Gas – UAE. He was responsible for all UAE operations, including joint venture oversight of the Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company (also known as Al Hosn Gas and more recently ADNOC Sour Gas). He also had oversight for the UAE Human Resources, Information Technology and Finance departments. Steve was a member of the Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee and alternate member of the Dolphin Energy Board of Directors.Prior to his role as GM Steve served as Vice President - Operations for Occidental of Abu Dhabi Ltd. He was responsible for the team that reviewed and recommended development scenarios for the Jarn Yaphour field redevelopment. In addition, he served as the point of contact liaising with senior Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) personnel in order to gain approval of plans and budgets.Steve’s first assignment in Oxy was as Operations Manager of the offshore fields ISND and ISSD for Occidental Petroleum Qatar Ltd. In this role Steve was responsible for day to day operation of all facilities and wells in the fields. Steve’s responsibilities also included well intervention, planning and executing shutdowns (turnarounds) and preparing then managing the annual operating budget. During Steve’s time in Qatar the production capacity was raised to over 120,000 barrels per day partly due to the successful completion of a US$ 1 billion expansion project.Prior to joining Oxy Steve spent 20 years in operational and management positions with Schlumberger Oilfield Services in North America, the Middle East and the UK. Steve was the first manager of the Pakistan sub-Geomarket when Schlumberger changed to a geographic organization structure from a product line structure.
