Summer Internship / Part-time position – Interviewed for and was offered a special internship position reporting to the Chief of Staff of the VP of Business Sector. Responsibilities included working with managers in creating different data analytics for winning opportunities for Defense Programs. Also worked on special programs that overhauled the Business Development teams’ analytic program which showed quarterly progress on business generation. Worked for the proposal team in creating a program that would analyze a proposal and highlight various phrases that were redundant or missing or shouldn’t be used. Also worked for the Human Resource Department in creating a program that would create an automatic phishing report which took raw data that would then update a master file which provided analytics by department identifying which department is most susceptible.

Greater San Diego Area

Summer Internship Program – Worked for the Functional Director and was responsible for overhauling code for an employee management program which is still being used by management to manage defense programs staffing needs. Completely overhauled the program and added additional functionality such as flexible graph creation for a desired report by a specific user which is customizable for each user. Forecasting tool is being used to depict staffing being used by IRAD. Led and organized the annual bike fundraiser. Coordinated with different business groups run by the summer interns to raise money to purchase bike parts which employees would then assemble and donate to children of service members. Coordinated with functional directors and delegated tasks to other interns for tournaments and games. Created lasting business relationships with the Business Sector of BAE which was instrumental in creating the opportunity for being considered for the special internship program the following year.
