Studio Manager and Cinematographer. Planning, and production of video projects using film (35mm & 16mm), or video for commerical advertising, marketing, training, and corporate image films.

When I joined Circuit City's Media Design and Development Department in 1989, it consisted of two staff members. I became the third. A no complaints-adapability attitude was at the core of the job requirements (I regurally went out with a one-ton G&E package, camera and audio package, by myself to gather interviews, and footage in various stores). If I didn't know it, I had to learn it; lighting, shooting, editing, interviewing, maintaining inventory and maintenence of equipment, managing budgets, building sets, writing scripts and directing, learning offline editing, (anyone recall top load U-matic machines?) then eventually moving onto A-B roll online editing, and non-linear edting. During cruch times, I also dubbed, performed quality control, labeled, and mailed 300+ distribution tapes with strignent deadlines. Every aspect of production rolled into one position, which taught me a fey key principle; if you don't know it then learn it. If you look around and something needs to be done, then you yourself probably needs to do it.
