Power Metering - from 1ph WC to HV CT COP3 Metering. This includes all aspects, including comms, exchanges, installations, removals, etc, on various metering systems and meter models. Working all over Scotland, including the islands.

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer (TSE), I oversee four Power TSEs, and am the Senior Power TSE within a support team of up to twenty people.TSEs provide technical support and advice to field engineers, whilst carrying out quality control activities, such as auditing work and creating reports on field incidents.I create performance reports, to help maximise productivity, and identify training issues within our field engineers.A big part of my role involves liaising with engineers, customers and energy suppliers, to help things run as smoothly as possible.I help to deal with emergency situations from start to finish, which entails identifying the issue, sourcing engineers for attendance, if required, and liaising with customers, suppliers and schedulers throughout.When required, I will attend and carry out jobs, usually on an emergency or priority job basis.I also regularly provide training and guidance to the team.During 2020, I was part of the team selected to draw up and finilise numerous internal process documents, for use within the business.During 2021 I was part of our Code of Practice review team - reviewing COP documents which were being updated and/or rewritten, before these were distributed to the wider business.

Manage and oversee a team of 15-18 dual fuel meter engineers, mostly Fife based, working on a large SMART Metering contract for Scottish Power.

Install/remove electricity meters, both SMART and dumb; Single Phase, Three Phase and LV CT electric meters. Working on various contracts for various suppliers, including British Gas, Eon and BES.
