I am an Associate Director and the Team Leader for Operational Safety and Traffic Engineering Team in Jacobs Manchester, I have over 16 years’ experience working within the Transportation and Operational Road Safety field. My focus is on developing the team through mentoring junior staff members, whilst expanding my own knowledge base. My core expertise are collision investigation, Road Safety Audit (GG119), Risk Assessment (GG104), Walking, Cycling and Horse-Riding Assessment and Review (HD42/17) and Operational Safety on the local and strategic road network . I am Chartered Member of CILT (CMILT) and a Fellow of CIHT (FCIHT). I have gained a Certificate of Competency in Road Safety Audits and have met the required standard of MSoRSA. I am an approved team leader on Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Road Safety Audits. International Road Safety experience having worked on Swedish and Irish projects.I have extensive experience of producing technical notes and reports for major schemes such as Smart Motorways and Airport Schemes, major link roads as well as local safety schemes, school travel reports and sustainable travel.I have also worked on and developed projects including: Vulnerable road user studies, Speed reduction initiatives, Road Safety Education, Training and Publicity, Traffic Regulation Order (TROs).In my previous role I was a Senior Traffic Services Officer, with responsibility for staff, managing the delivery of services across the borough. Working in partnership with other agencies to reduce collisions on the local road network and to promote safe and sustainable travel. I created and set up initiatives which are still effective tools in promoting road safety.
