Provides executive leadership and direction for the strategic planning, priority setting and overall direction of Community Correctional Services, including policy, business planning, operating plans and stakeholder relationships.Leads the development, implementation and management of legislative, regulatory and administrative initiatives with respect to Community Correctional Services.Leads formal business planning and allocation, communication and reporting requirements to the fulfilment of the government’s mandate.Establishes strong partnerships with bargaining agents and develops innovative frameworks for building strategic stakeholder relations and expectations with a range of stakeholders.Provides leadership for driving cultural change and supporting approaches that focus on issues of anti-racism and diversity to proactively improve workplaces.Ensures effective operational management of the division including financial, human and material resources and information technology in compliance with government directions, established policies and procedures.Recognizes and responds to issues which may have implications for the Solicitor General and Deputy Solicitor General

Overseeing the implementation of initiatives across Community Correctional Services in Ontario including Community Reintegration.

I operate Probation Services and Community Corrections programming, as one of four regional directors. I provide oversight for transfer payment programming for Youth Custody Arrangements and other programming to reduce recidivism.Leading a team of 35 Managers, for a total staff of roughly 240 across 8 cost centres, and a budget of $22 million per year.Dedicated to employee wellness and well-being and focussed on employee engagement activities and opportunities supporting Peer Mentoring, Employee Engagement committees, Critical Incident Stress Management, Peer Support program in all the offices across the North.Lead Director Provincially for the Provincial Joint Occupational Health and Safety Table, including co-chairing the Community Service Health and Safety Working Group throughout the COVID Pandemic and an Offender Suicide situation in Elliot Lake, Ontario

Was responsible for the oversight of Child Welfare and Children's Mental Health Programming in the North Region of the Province of Ontario.Program delivery included Probation, Attendance Centres, Youth Mental Health Court Workers, Community Support Teams, Remote Reintegration Aboriginal Services, FASD programming, as well as Custody programs. Designed and implemented a Cross Divisional Probation Manager/Program Supervisor Integration tables across the Northern Region to plan and build a coordinated network of staff who can collaborate over a variety of Children’s Services including Youth Justice, Children’s Mental Health, Children’s Aid, and Children with Severe Disabilities.During February 2016-October 2017 as Reginal Program Manager, created an integrated team of 15 Program Supervisors across the region by introducing and fostering a Co-Management model of leadership with my colleague Regional Program Manager.Contracted Transfer Payment agencies over $360 million worth of funding within Northern Ontario to both indigenous and non-indigenous agencies and communities to transform the Children’s sector in the areas of Mental Health and Child Welfare.

Managed the day-to-day operations of the Probation Offices in Thunder Bay, Geraldton, Marathon, Sioux Lookout, Kenora, and Fort Frances to deliver to implement effective case management services to youth in the region.Managed stakeholder relationships and issues management with Open Custody and Secure Custody facilities in the Provincial Director role to mediate conflicts, and maintain high-quality service delivery to the youth.Human Resources and financial management included 27 direct reports including 1 MCP, 4 OAG, and 21 Probation Officers. The Team provided services to the remote north including 40 First Nations communities.
